So, after a bout of complete exhaustion and wondering how to keep going into a stressful work environment I recuperated this weekend by visiting with dear friends from Fredericton and hanging out in a legitimate mansion right off the ocean. Fresh air, exercise and good company can ail most woes. That, and some good food. The real stuff (boxed items need not apply).
Today, I slept in and went straight to the grocery store and basically restocked my pantry and reintroduced myself to my old friends fruits and vegetables.
A smoothie is the best breakfast for me. It is nutritious, sweet and easy to make. They can't really be messed up either. I chose to make a super food smoothie to energise me for a nice long walk I'm gonna take straight after this post. I hope your Sunday finds you happy and well - and - sunny!
I eyeball all my measurements for smoothies so bear with me.
Take one cup frozen mango, a half cup of frozen blueberries, a bunch of baby spinach, some OJ, some almond milk, 2 big scoops of full-fat plain yogurt, a serving of Hemp Pro 50 and add to a blender. Blend, and serve. Makes 2 servings.
